Cupping
Dry and wet cupping are both traditional therapeutic techniques used in alternative medicine.
Dry cupping involves placing cups on the skin to create suction without any incisions. This suction is believed to help improve blood flow, relieve muscle tension, and promote relaxation. The cups are typically made of glass, bamboo, or silicone and are left in place for about 5 to 15 minutes.
Wet cupping, on the other hand, involves a similar process but includes small incisions on the skin before the cups are applied. This allows for the drawing of a small amount of blood, which is thought to help remove toxins from the body and alleviate pain. Wet cupping can be more intensive than dry cupping and may require additional aftercare.
Benefits of both methods of cupping:
– Potential pain relief
– Improved circulation
– Reduced inflammation
– Enhanced overall well-being
– Benefits for respiratory issues
– Headaches
– Muscle soreness
